Evangelistic Intercessory Ministries International, Sierra Leone
It all began on a quiet evening when I looked around my village and felt a deep longing for something more, a place where people could find hope, love, and purpose. I knew in my heart that our community needed a church, a place to gather, pray, and grow together. I started evangelism and prayer meetings for about one year and eight months.
DIVINE PARTNERS
Since I did not have all the resources, I just had a dream and a burning desire to make a difference. I shared my vision with my close friend Noah Dalton and his wife, Abigail Dalton, who also helped me and my wife acquired a piece of land and build a four-story building for both church and school in Liberia. When I shared my vision at first, they looked at me with surprise, but when i told them how much the village needed this hope, they nodded in agreement.
TAKEN THE GOSPEL TO MY NATIVE LAND SIERRA LEONE
Together, we planned a visiting trip to my country, Sierra Leone, we started small. We organized an evangelism tour from one village to another village, preaching and praying for people, meeting under a big mango tree, inviting everyone in the villages to come and hear about love, faith, and unity through Christ Jesus. As we prayed and shared the Gospel, more people began to listen and believe in Jesus Christ.
THE CRUSADE
one day, while in Sierra Leone, I talked with my friend and said, let us do something big, let us have a crusade to show the community what this church can be. My friends cheered and agreed. We started planning while they were back in America, gathering clothes, food items, medicines, music and whatever resources we could find while they were in the USA. Other villagers and i went form house to house, inviting everyone to the crusade. Our friends helped us set up a makeshift stage. he sent both his father, Mr. David Dalton, his mother, Shayne, and his wife, Abigail Dalton, and on the day of the event, the whole village gathered. There was signing, dancing, and powerful messages of hope. many tears were shed, adn people felt touched deep in their hearts. That crusade was the turning point. it showed the village that we were serious about starting a church place for everyone to find love and belonging. With more support and prayer, we officially established the church, calling it Evangelistic Intercessory Ministries. After the crusade, we baptized 65 people to the glory of our Lord. My wife, Mot. Favor C. Conteh offers her medical service by treating a lot of people. both children, women, and men.
Appreciation
To God be all the Glory, today, our church in Sierra Leone, through prayer, is under construction, and our village has a new spirit of unity and hope. And it all started with a simple dream, some friends who believed, and a crusade that brought our community together. Together, we learned that with faith and friendship, anything is possible. This is how EIM was established in Sierra Leone.
